Very Interesting Music, Marty – Favorite albums of 2023

Somewhere in Time Podcast are kicking 2024 off with a look back at some of their favorite albums of 2023. Among many other bands, albums by Overkill, Mutoid Man, Baroness, and Foo Fighters are discussed. Collectively, the overall favorite by 3/4 of the podcast was 72 Seasons by Metallica, but this album was already covered in a previous episode (go back and listen if you haven’t already!). Instead, the focus is on some of the favorite hard rock and metal albums. 2023 celebrates 50 years of The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. Somewhere in Time podcast couldn’t ignore this milestone anniversary and discuss all things Dark Side on this episode. The episode also includes clips from the 2006 documentary, “The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon”. There are behind the scenes moments that include isolated vocals, the meaning behind some of the songs, and how they created some of the synth and voice sounds.
